Review: Taste and See

Taste and See by John Piper helps its readers do exactly what its subtitle says and that is to savor the supremacy of God in all of life.

Reading this book helps the reader see how John Piper sees the world through his worldview. How does one live and understand life when they believe God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him? One sees it in his meditation of rising early to spend time in the Word, waking up and fighting the weariness many of us face in the early hours of the morning.

If you’re looking for a devotional resource with depth this is one to read. Piper goes from the heights of contemplating the omnipotence of God down to God’s care in the midst of things like a lost credit card. There’s a good reason that this book keeps getting reprinted I hope you’ll read it and discover why.
